Neglected Horses now up for adoption!
The Humane Society of Durham Region will be holding an open house on Thursday Nov 22, 2012 from 10:00am to 2:00 pm for any one interested in adopting one of the horses that were removed from a property in Durham Region at the end of October in horrific condition. We are pleased to say that the horses are doing much better and are gaining weight everyday. We will have applications for anyone that may be interested in adopting one of these beautiful animals at the open house. The purpose of the open house is to accept serious applications for the horses, no decisions will be made on that day as to permanent homes for them.
The location of the Open House is 13709 Warden Avenue, York Region. Warden and Bloomington Side Road (southeast corner)
The Humane Society of Durham Region is so thankful to so many people who offered their assistance, donations and so many calls offering to help. The generosity of these wonderful people who have helped us have allowed us to continue to save and help animals in Durham Region that are neglected and abused. The Humane Society of Durham Region would also like to say thank you to the Media who was so helpful regarding this case.
